Welcome to Assynt
Our cottages are located in the North West Highlands, in the parish of Assynt, a mile from the picturesque village of Kylesku, and 85 miles by road from Inverness.
We overlook Loch Glencoul, with its unique geology and beauty, and enjoy a backdrop that includes the magnificent mountain Quinag.
Set in three acres of private grounds, which include a small woodland, landscaped grounds and access to our small lochside beach.
Wildlife
There is an abundance of wildlife. You can watch deer, seals, otters and birds from your cottage or from the hide on the shore and if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of porpoises, dolphins or a sea eagle. Badgers and stoats are regular visitors to the garden along with the occasional pine marten.
The cottages
The three cottages are well-furnished and comfortable with log burning stoves and beautiful views over the Loch. The surrounding area offers ideal opportunities for walking, climbing, yoga, fishing, painting, photography, nature study or cycling.
Walkers are spoilt for choice with low-level coastal, woodland and loch-side walks. For the more adventurous, the mountains in the area include Quinag, Suilven, Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor, Foinaven and Arkle.
